Peer-to-Peer Tutoring: Transforming Communities Through Education

In today's digital age, access to quality education is crucial for the development and success of every child. Unfortunately, not all children have the same opportunities when it comes to learning and acquiring essential skills. That's where Study-Buddy plays a transformative role in communities through education.

Based in Turkey, Study-Buddy is a social responsibility project that is dedicated to narrowing the educational gap for children from according to the 4th Sustainable Development Goal; Quality Education. By focusing on teaching digital literacy, design thinking, and basic coding, the project aims to equip these children with the necessary skills to thrive in the modern world. What sets Study-Buddy apart is its innovative approach of leveraging peer-to-peer mentoring and tutoring, where older students mentor younger ones, creating a supportive learning environment that fosters growth and development. Upon completing the program, the children are encouraged to use their newfound skills to address community issues, instilling in them a sense of responsibility and empowerment to make a positive impact in their surroundings. The peers that taught them the lessons will also play a role as mentors throughout the making of their own projects.
